I came in a respectable 3rd place with a time of 14 pints and 6 shots. The winner, yet again, was my nemesis Big Tam ’10 bellys’, with a time of 18 pints, 12 shots and extra points for half a bottle of paint thinner. I’m off to stick my head down the toilet again, but I’ll be back next year. Anyone who’s up for a training weekend next year, give me a shout. I’ve got cheap accommodation booked at the S&N brewery and arranged for group discounts at Samson’s kebab house.

Over 400 competitors started the race at Milngavie and 363 made it to the finish line, with this years winner, Scott Bradley, finishing in 7 hours, 23 minutes and 11 seconds. Highest placed female was Emma Roca from Catalonia with a time of 8:23:14. Below we have a clip of Emma finishing the race and a short interview with her whilst catching her breath back!:
