Our location

We are located in the beautiful village of Tyndrum in the Loch Lommond and Trossach’s national park.

Directions to our location

Please see our ‘Where are we?‘ page for a map of our location and directions for how to get here by car, train, ferry (yes ferry!) and on foot (if you’re doing the West Highland Way).

If you prefer to just look at a big map and sort out your own directions, see our By The Way location full-size map.

Tyndrum Village

Tyndrum is ideally located within the national park, has 2 separate railway lines serving us (ideal for getting here from anywhere in the UK) and is the main route North into the highlands, with the A82 heading North to Fort William and the A85 (which starts just outside Tyndrum) heading to Oban on the West coast. Please see our Tyndrum Village page for more information.

We’ve got Gold too!

Tyndrum has recently seen a resurgence in interest from mining companies for Gold mining and an old mine just outside Tyndrum has recently had an application to re-open approved. This means that the rivers coming from the hills passing through Tyndrum have Gold deposits and are proving popular for panning. If you want to try it, we can hire you the equipment – please see our Gold in Tyndrum page for more info.
